“Estate planning is not about saving taxes and avoiding probate — though those are certainly welcome benefits.  Simply put, it’s an act of love.  It’s a commitment by you not to leave a mess behind, and instead to make it as easy as possible for your family to carry on when you’re no longer able to help.”

Larry has received the AV® Preeminent™ rating, the highest rank given by Martindale-Hubble® Peer Review Ratings™. These ratings are generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary. The Berren Law Firm is designated one of the “Best Trusts & Estates Law Firms® in Rhode Island 2011-2014” by U.S. News & World Report.

Larry has coauthored five books: A Practical Guide to Probate in Rhode Island, MCLE New England, 1st Edition 2011; The Five Greatest Estate Planning Techniques in Rhode Island, Lorman, January 2008; Estate Planning in Rhode Island, Lorman, August 2003; Estate & Tax Planning for Qualified Retirement Plans and IRAs, NBI, September 2001 and August 2005; and Asset Protection Techniques in Rhode Island, NBI, May 2003.
